Summer Game Fest June 2025: Everything announced

Summer Game Fest’s 2025 showcase is over for another year. Packed end-to-end with a whole slew of announcements and teasers, it even included a shadow-dropped Lies of P DLC, Overture.

If you missed part of it, all of it, or simply don’t want to scrub through 120 minutes to see if the announcement you were hoping for popped up, here’s every single thing announced at Summer Game Fest 2025 in the order they were revealed. Pray for my tendonitis. Enjoy!

Mortal Shell 2

The show kicked off by noting how many of Steam’s biggest sellers this year have been from indie developers, and then threw us into the evening’s first announcement: Mortal Shell 2. The dark fantasy action game, developed by Cold Symmetry, is coming to PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series in 2026.

Death Stranding 2

We already knew that Death Stranding 2 was getting its own premiere separate from the main Summer Game Fest stage – that’s coming tomorrow, 8th June – but Hideo Kojima accompanied Geoff on stage anyways, treating us to a “special exclusive clip for SGF”, which you can check out below. The teaser lets us spend a little time with Neil and Lucy, after which Kojima reminded us that the sequel is set to release later this month on 24th June, 2025.

Chronicles: Medieval

“Thou shalt not kill, so the priests tell us, so the lord commands,” says some gruff, disembodied voice as we zoom in on a blacksmith blacksmithing. Apparently, ambitious men do not listen, though, which is why Chronicles: Medieval invites you to forge your destiny in a host of epic historical battles when it drops in early access in 2026.

Sonic Racing: Cross Worlds

Start your engines for the biggest Sonic racing game yet. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds rolls in on 25th September, 2025, where you can race as your favourite Sonic characters across a huge roster of tracks, as well as guest appearances from other Sega franchises like Hatsune Miku, Ichiban Kasuga, and Persona’s Joker. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds x Minecraft World

After introducing us to the latest Sonic racing game, Sonic creator officer, Takashi Iizuka took us into a CrossWorld promotion with Minecraft, where familiar Minecraft folk zoom around the place in little rectangular carts. It’s quite the spectacle. There’s no release date yet, just the promise that it’ll be “drifting across dimensions soon”.

Code Vein 2

Another gothic-esque soulslike, long-awaited sequel Code Vein 2 is coming to PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox sometime in 2026. The trailer shown gives us a glimpse of both cinematics and early gameplay, including a selection of boss enemies which the protagonist is taking on with a variety of elemental, physical, and vampiric attacks.

End of Abyss

From Section 9 Interactive and Epic Games, the mysterious End of Abyss is a moody, atmospheric action-adventure game where you’re on a mission to investigate disturbances of unknown origin that spirals into a harrowing descent through a broken and abandoned world. With striking art design and some memorable enemies, you can expect to play sometime in 2026 on PC via Epic Games Store, PS5, and Xbox Series.

Mouse P.I. for Hire

Join private investigator Jack Pepper on a guns blazing, jazz-fueled adventure in Mouse: P.I. For Hire. The inaugral title from Fumi Games, Mouse P.I. stars Troy Baker and combines “the charm of hand-drawn rubber hose animation inspired by the classic cartoons of the 1930s with the adrenaline and action of an explosive first person shooter”. It’s out later this year on PC via Steam, Switch, and current- and last-gen consoles.

Game of Thrones: War for Westeros

The original TV show is getting yet another video game adaptation, this time in the form of Game of Thrones: War for Westeros, a real-time strategy game that’s out next year.

Atomic Heart 2

The Atomic Heart sequel brings you back to the retrofuturistic universe, full of new characters and dangers, promising to “raise the bar for what an open-world action RPG can do”. It’s coming to PC and consoles, but we don’t yet know when. That’s not the only thing Mundfish has been busy with, however…

The Cube

From the makers of Atomic Heart comes MMO RPG shooter, The Cube. Set in the Atomic universe, a giant, levitating Cube with rotating rows and edges appears one day, and hidden within is an unknown equation capable of altering the laws of reality. The constantly rotating edges create “unique gameplay combinations.” Again, there’s no release window let alone a date, but it’s coming to PC and consoles.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion

So far, only seven of the 15 characters have been revealed from the retro beat-em-up Marvel Cosmic Invasion thus far, but now we’ve met the next two: She-Hulk and Rocket Raccoon. It’s coming to PC and consoles “this holiday”.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword

This new gameplay trailer showcases a variety of combat encounters, as well as some of the techniques at your disposal. It’s set to release in 2026 on PC via Steam, PS5, Xbox, and will be playable at Gamescom.

Felt That: Boxing

Felt That: Boxing is a comedic boxing game set in a world where the charm of furry puppets collides with the fury of boxing. Step into the shoes of Ezra “Fuzz-E” Wright, an unlikely hero with a big heart. There’s no release date for Steam as yet, and no mention of a console release at all. We’ll have to watch this fuzzy space…

Killer Inn

Square Enix has announced a new online multiplayer game called Killer Inn, which combines social deduction with murderous action. From Tactic Studios – the team behind first-person puzzle game Claire De Lune – Killer Inn is a 24-player online game with players split into two teams. There is no release date yet, but a closed beta test is reportedly on the way.

Arc Raiders

This was first announced at TGA 2021, and it finally has a release date: 30th October 2025. Coming to PC via Steam and EGS, as well as PS5 and Xbox Series, the online shooter see you take on the role of the titular raiders, tasked with defeating both rival raiders and lethal Arc machines.

Dune: Awakening

Dune Awakening kicked off its early release for Deluxe and Ultimate Edition players earlier this week, hitting a concurrent peak player count of almost 100k before it’s even out. This teaser is to remind you that the survival MMO releases for all on Tuesday 10th June.

Chrono Odyssey

Chrono Odyssey calls itself a “next-generation action MMORPG” and includes awe-inspiring visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5, a vast and intricately designed seamless open world, dynamic action-based combat mechanics based on time manipulation and extensive customisation. We’re not sure when it’s coming, but when it does arrive, it’ll be playable on PC via Steam and PS5.

Nicktoons and the Dice of Destiny

Nicktoons and the Dice of Destiny drops “iconic Nickelodeon heroes into a world of fantasy and real-time RPG action”. Expect epic battles, dynamic environments, and “an engaging gameplay experience for players of all ages” when it releases on 30th September, 2025. Coming to PC via Steam and EGS, PS5, Switch, and Xbox Series.

Wuthering Waves 2.4

Embark on a the journey that “marks the start of every hero’s tale”. Wuthering Waves Version 2.4 is coming on June 12th to PC via Windows, Steam, and EGS, mobile, and PS5.

Metroidvania Mio: Memories in Orbit

Play as android Mio in this “mesmerising metroidvania” where you explore the Vessel, an enormous technological ark overgrown with machines gone rogue. It’s out later this year – we don’t know when – but you can try the demo now on PC via Steam and Xbox PC. It’s thought to release in 2025 on PC via Steam, PS5, Switch, Xbox Series, and last-gen consoles.

Lego Voyagers

The team that bought us all Lego Builder’s Journey is back with some more bricky goodness, this time in the form of Lego Voyagers. It’ll release “soon” across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Mafia: The Old Country

Uncover the origins of organised crime in Mafia: The Old Country, a gritty mob story set in the brutal underworld of 1900s Sicily. Fight to survive as Enzo Favara and prove your worth to the Family in this immersive third-person action-adventure coming on 8th August 2025 on PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series.

Out of Words

This is a stop-motion co-op platformer where everything has been crafted by hand. From puppet masters to programmers to poets, Out of Words hails from the mind of acclaimed poet Morten Søndergaard, co-developers WiredFly and Kong Orange. Together, they have “carefully designed and crafted each stop-motion character, environment, and co-op mechanic to tell a story with a distinctly human touch”. It’s coming to PC via EGS and PS5 and Xbox Series in 2026.

Lies of P Overture DLC

Surprise! Lies of P Overture, a DLC expansion for the original game, was shadow dropped during Summer Game Fest, which means it’s available now. As well as new content, you’ll find three new difficulty options.

Fractured Blooms

“Tend your garden, cook your meals, and build your home in this time loop life sim. Tend your garden, the days are repeating, and something has started to bloom…” Sadly, we’ve no more detail than that other than a very curious teaser trailer that’s certainly got me intrigued.

Crystal of Atlan

Jurassic World Evolution 3

We already knew it was coming thanks to an official announcement last year, but Frontier Developments’ Jurassic World Evolution 3 has now barrelled out of the bushes T. rex-style with a first trailer and a 21st October release date.

Seven Deadly Sins: Origin

The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is an open-world anime RPG set in the universe of The Seven Deadly Sins. You’ll step into the role of Prince Tristan of Liones and explore an open-world Britannia, as you embark on a journey to restore order to a world thrown into chaos by the collision of time and space. Expect it later this year on PC via Steam and PS5.

Mina The Hollower

A brand new game from the team behind Shovel Knight, Mina the Hollower sees you take control of Mina, a “renowned Hollower hurtled into a desperate mission to rescue a cursed island”. Whip foes, burrow through the ground, and explore a pixel-perfect world when it releases on Steam on 31st October, 2025. A demo is available now for those who can’t wait that long.

Deadpool VR

Disney wants you to know this trailer is “not for the faint of heart, so put on your big kid undies and strap in for a violent, expletive-ridden good time”. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Coming to Meta Quest 3/3S in “late” 2025.

Dying Light: The Beast

A new trailer for Dying Light: The Beast revealed all-new gameplay showcasing a variety of chases, parkour, and some fella called The Baron. It’ll be launching on 22nd August on PS5, Xbox Series, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.

Mixtape

Annapurna revealed new teen drama game Mixtape from the developer of The Artful Escape, featuring skateboards, romance, and an iconic soundtrack. It’s set for release across Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation, and PC (Windows, Steam) in 2025.

Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree

In this Roguelite set in a far-off mystic realm, ancient forces stir, and untold dangers await. As Towa, lead the guardians of the sacred tree in forging strong relationships and powerful swords to fight Magatsu’s forces and determine the future of Shinju Village. Acts of Blood

Acts of Blood is a third-person, beat-em-up which focuses on fast-paced, brutal hand-to-hand combat. Set in dystopian city of Bandung, Indonesia, you’ll be able to drum up some Acts of Blood in summer 2026.

Scott Pilgrim EX

Join Scott Pilgrim and Ramona Flowers in a brand-new brawling adventure across space, time, and the streets of Toronto. It’s out in 2026 for PC and consoles.

The First Descendent: Breakthrough

The First Descendent Season 3: Breakthrough will launch on Thursday, 7th August. That’s a little later than planned, though, so there’s a Season 3 demo coming out on 24th July so you can preview the new Field “Axion,” the Legion of Breach and Mutants, new missions, Wall Crasher Battle preview, the Hover Bike, as well as Season 3 cutscenes.

Mindseye

Hitman World of Assassination – Le Chiffre from Casino Royale

Developer IO Interactive is updating Hitman with a new elusive target: Le Chiffre from Casino Royale. Actor Mads Mikkelsen joined Geoff Keighley to reveal the news that Le Chiffre will be available to hunt for free via PC and consoles “soon”. Victoria is very excited about it.

Hitman co-op mode

Developer IO Interactive is developing a co-op mode for Hitman: World of Assassination. The mode is still relatively under wraps, but does feature two names you may recognise: Stone and Knight. These two popped up in the Hitman Sniper mode. Again, expect more news “soon”.

Lego Party

That’s right, we got not one but two new Lego announcements. This one, Lego Party, is a four-player party game wherein you can compete against your friends in “wacky Challenge Zones and 60 hilarious minigames” from across your favorite Lego sets. Crossplay and offering both couch and online co-op, it’s coming later this year on PC via Steam, Switch, PS5, Xbox Series, and last-gen consoles.

Wildgate

Wildgate is a PVP multiplayer shooter that blends tactical ship-to-ship combat with fast-paced first-person action. It’s coming to PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series, and an open beta goes live on 9th June, running until 16th June.

Blighted

Battle your way through a psychedelic western nightmare to reclaim the memories of your people in this action RPG from the creators of Guacamelee. It’s coming “soon” to PC via Steam (sorry, no mention of consoles as yet).

ILL

Ill describes itself as a “realistic first-person action horror game” that “takes you into a dark fort overtaken by a mysterious entity”. Experience unpredictable monsters, a “visceral” dismemberment system, and realistic physics when Team Clout releases it on PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series.

Mecha Break

Mecha Break confirmed its release date via a lengthy cinematic trailer that gave us a look at what’s to come when it finally releases on 1st July on PC via Steam and Xbox Series.

Infinitesimals

Infinitesimals sees you play as the leader of a once-elite squadron torn apart by disaster and scattered across a hostile world. Through tactical third-person combat, you must locate, rescue and reunite your crew to rebuild your strength and bring the fight to the hostile machines hunting you down. It’s coming in 2026 to PC via EGS, PS5, and Xbox Series.

Street Fighter 6 Season 3

Street Fighter 6’s Year 3 roster will include Sagat in Summer 2025, C. Viper in Autumn 2025, Alex in Early Spring 2026, and Ingrid in Late Spring 2026.

Last Flag

Last Flag is a new a fast-paced 5v5 shooter with “showstopping contestants, set in a televised competition where strategy, teamwork, and chaos blend in the ultimate game of Capture the Flag”. We don’t know when or what platforms its coming to, but it’s available to wishlist on Steam now, so that’s probably one of them, right?

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers – the dark fantasy Soulslike set in and coming from China – will be released across Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC (via Steam and Epic) on 24th July. It will also be available on Game Pass.

Wu-Tang Rise of the Receiver

Wu-Tang: Rise of the Deceiver is a co-op action RPG with anime-style fighting where players will face increasingly challenging battle Chambers to “the tune of reimagined Wu-Tang Clan tracks while decking out their own custom fighters”. Say it with me – there’s no firm release date – but it looks to be coming to PC via Steam and EGS.

Into the Unwell

Dive into The Unwell as one of “several flawed and heavily medicated misfits in this delightfully despondent third-person roguelite game” that also homages 30s-style cartoons. We didn’t get much more than that other than the you can play alone or with up to two friends, and a closed beta is coming to Steam soon, so sign up now if you’re keen.

Splitgate 2

Splitgate 2 – often referred to as “halo with portals” – is in the pink in the sequel, showing that even with a light, bright pastel palette, you can still get your arse kicked. It released at the end of May, so this is just a reminder that the follow-up free-to-play shooter is finally here.

Stranger Than Heaven (FKA Project Century from RGG)

The official title of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s Project Century has been announced: Stranger Than Heaven. To celebrate, Sega’s got a new trailer for you to “offer another glimpse into the game’s world”, but sadly, not much else information.

Resident Evil Requiem

Leaving the best ’til last? Possibly. Capcom has lifted the lid on Resident Evil 9, the next entry in its long-standing horror series: Resident Evil Requiem. In the reveal trailer, we meet Grace Ashcroft and see the ruins of what was once Racoon City. If you’re dying for more, I have good news for you, as we’ve even got a release date. Resident Evil 9 Requiem is releasing on 27th February next year across PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
